Gibson posts an online form for reporting counterfeit guitars

In the latest development on the ongoing Gibson copyright saga, observers have discovered a web form on the official brand website that lets players report suspicions of trademark infringement.
At the bottom of Gibson.com’s homepage, you’ll see a ‘Report Counterfeits’ link under the ‘Support’ category. This brings up an online submission form where you can input evidence – URLs and comments – of what you believe to be counterfeit instruments. “This submission form is intended only for the reporting of suspected counterfeit items that may possibly infringe on Gibson’s registered trademarks,” reads the introduction on the form.

Although it’s unclear exactly when the page was set up, it remains open for those who wish to file reports. Gibson has also provided full list of owned trademarks that you can browse.
Over the past week, Gibson has been embroiled in a copyright storm. The timeline of events saw Gibson pull its controversial Play Authentic YouTube video before filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Armadillo Enterprises, parent company of Dean and Luna Guitars.
