BFR neckplates on non-BFR guitars?

I just bought a MM JP15 and it’s out for delivery. It’s a flame top Sahara burst. Hype levels are pretty high here at the office.

My question is: This guitar was not listed as a BFR, yet appears to have a BFR neckplate. Does that mean that it is a BFR or do the JP models all come with this neckplate?
