How to get TC Powercore to work in Yosemite

Hi all, after upgrading to Yosemite my Powercore refused to be recognised in OS X 10.10 but after trawling the net I found a workaround and now it works fine, you will have to launch Terminal and add some code but it’s pretty straight forward.

1. Launch Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and copy and paste the line below and hit ‘enter’ (you may have to type in your Admin password first)

sudo nvram boot-args=”kext-dev-mode=1″

2. Reboot and then launch Terminal once more and then copy and paste the text below and hit ‘enter’:

sudo kextcache -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions

3. Wait for it to finish doing its stuff then reboot once more and hey presto, your Powercore is no longer obsolete!
