Mercuriall Audio Greed Smasher

Mercuriall Audio Greed Smasher A free plug-in for guitar players and anyone into brutal distortion, the Greed Smasher emulates Mesa/Boogie's Grid Slammer overdrive pedal. The emulation is supposedly very detailed, based on the original circuit and all that, so don't be surprised if this thing roars with a might unexpected from a virtual effect. The user interface replicates the original pedal, which is itself a spin on the good old Tube Screamer pedal, the green essential of many a high-gain guitar rigs. Feel free to use this beast on synthesizers, vocals, and virtually anything in need of a shake-up. The results could be rather dramatic! Grid Smasher is available from Mercuriall Audio Software in 32-bit and 64-bit VST, AU, and AAX formats for PC and Mac. With Regroover, your loops are automatically analyzed and prepared for duty. The plug-in's shtick is to split your loops into layers and let you manipulate individual elements by adjusting their volume or re-ordering them as you wish. You can go even further by applying effects like gate, EQ, and compression. Overall, Regroover is one tool you can use for coming up with unique-sounding arrangements and chops by creatively abusing its controls and features. The deal is highly recommended! In case you don't know about it or your memory is rusty, the Haas effect (a.k.a. the Precedence Effect) is a Psychoacoustic Effect described by Helmut Haas as the ability of our ears to localize sounds coming from anywhere around us. You can easily imagine where this is going, right? Mostly in circles around your ears, it is! Haas Effect is exceedingly simple to use, with a single knob to adjust the effect amount and four buttons for choosing input signal routing (mono, stereo, dual left, dual right). Try out on guitars and vocals for a subtle doubling effect, or go crazy with it and completely wreck your audio - it is up to you. Quick Haas is available from Venn Audio http://www.vennaudio.com/quick-haas/ in 32-bit and 64-bit VST and AU formats for PC and Mac. https://youtu.be/owH7qMn78Pk Physical Audio PA3 Derailer Physical Audio released a free public beta of an interesting new instrument, the PA3 Derailer. This is a physical modeling synthesizer not unlike Logic Pro's Sculpture - though much, much less complex. It consists of two elements - a metal bar that you virtually strike or bow, and a nonlinear mass/spring connection. By vibrating one of the bars, you create resonanse in the other. Join multiple bars together and you'll have a whole bunch of metal singing spaced-out songs to you in no time. Up to 37 strike bars, up to 5 bars, and up to 81 mass/sprint connections are supported. Unfortunately, PA3 Derailer is Mac-only. It's available for macOS 10.9 or above, and you can grab it from Physical Audio. https://physicalaudio.co.uk/PA3.html
