Guitar Interactive editor moves on
Gary Cooper, founding editor of the pioneering online publication Guitar Interactive, is leaving the title, a week after the launch of its 50th edition.
Cooper (who also edits Music Instrument News) says: ‘When we started Guitar Interactive, some rival publishers said we had not a chance of making it work but for nearly seven years it has been a tremendous success, proving a lot of things that ‘can’t be done’ actually can – not least successfully integrating video with features in a magazine format and publishing a magazine that is popular in North America as well as the UK. But seven years without a single break is a long time and as I have disagreed with the publisher over recent strategic decisions, I’ve decided to move on.’
Cooper will continue to edit Music Instrument News and freelance for other publications.
