Gibson USA has been very busy indeed, yes we thought that they had been really quiet of late, but it turns out they have been making a whole new slew of new custom models for 2017!

Custom 2017 Range

So Gibson Custom USA have been busy and this new set of custom are all pretty neat and on first glance, we are getting some new finishes and a few tweaks to their usual more usual classic designs.

This is a brief overview of the models and we will update as and when we get more information, so for now, check out the pics below and I have included some brief specifications as well.

This highly figured top on a Les Paul Custom looks very swish (if you like that sort of thing) and has some modern upgrades thrown in along the way. Features a set of a matched set of 490R/498T humbucking pickups and a traditional control layout.

The Johnny A. Spruce Top

This edition as the name suggests has a spruce top and Gibson say that is trying to emulate the snap of an archtop guitar design, but fit it into a smaller guitar frame. With a solid mahogany back / main body all carved from one piece of wood and outfitted with internal acoustic chambers!

RRP -USD 4,499
