CMA juggernaut rolls on – estimates Summer 2019 for case decision
The CMA’s year long investigation in to alleged price fixing in the MI industry rolls on, with an announcement that the government watchdog estimates it will be summer 2019 before it decides whether to issue a ‘statement of objections’ – in other words decides whether to take action against the parties concerned.
In a short statement, the CMA confirmed that it is now in the process of ‘further investigation’ and ‘information gathering’. MIN has learned that several retailers have already been questioned.
