Dutch distributor Iemke Roos has changed its name to Audio-Technica Benelux, effective today.

Iemke Roos has been a household name in professional audio import in the Netherlands since 1969, catering for broadcasters, concert production, musicians and AV specialists including Audio-Technica, Active Audio, Vicoustic, Nexo, Symetrix and Genelec.

Iemke Roos joined the Audio-Technica Group in 2014. The name change to Audio-Technica Benelux consolidates the company’s footprint in Europe where Audio-Technica has offices in France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Hungary.

“The launch of Audio-Technica Benelux is the result of our long collaboration with Iemke Roos and I’m looking forward to strengthen our Dutch and Belgian team,” enthused Robert Morgan-Males, marketing director with Audio-Technica Europe.

“The close partnership with Audio-Technica Europe has been instrumental in the growth of our company and our presence on the professional audio market – backed by the knowledge, experience and marketing tools of the Audio-Technica team,” said Gineke van Urk, managing director of Iemke Roos. “Our clients will continue to enjoy the same service from our experienced staff. And the change will also benefit other brands we represent in the Benelux – our target is to continue growing.”
