Media & Artist Coordinator at JHS
Based at our Garforth, Leeds Head Office, a vacancy has arisen for a Media & Artist Coordinator working within the Publicity Department of JHS & Co. Ltd.
Reporting to the Publicity Manager, the position involves coordinating and generating the PR output of the company. Writing and distributing media releases, working with industry media to manage and organise product reviews, seeking and developing new such contacts, liaising with suppliers, colleagues and external contributors. Managing and liaising with existing artist accounts and developing relationships with new artists. Representing the company at clinics, shows and exhibitions to promote the Company’s corporate image and maximise the exposure of its services, brands, products and artists.
Media: Responsible for creating exceptional product descriptions, technical copy and the production of video content for the Company’s products launches, websites, social media channels, electronic newsletters, catalogues and manuals, and producing copy and content generally.
Artists: Manage existing artists and develop relationships with new artists with the provision of products in return to maximize the visibility of the company’s services, brands, products and artists via all channels.
The successful candidate will be an organised, self-motivated confident, entertaining and charismatic individual with proven editorial experience, and communication skills. Be able to communicate concepts and technical facts, and clearly articulate at all levels of knowledge the features, benefits and advantages of the company’s services, brands and products in both a commercial and consumer context.
A broad knowledge of the various categories of the products the company sells, and affinity for the music industry generally, along with well-developed organisational skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines, and a thorough hands on knowledge of commercial DTP, web and video applications are all prerequisites for the role.
An accomplished/competent musician would be an advantage as the role involves conducting seminars and product clinics.
The position is office based, however there will be a requirement for occasional weekend and evening work, UK domestic and some international travel, including attending trade and consumer exhibitions, and in-store staff training/public product demonstrations.
This interesting and varied position will be part of our in-house marketing team and includes contributing to the wider activities of the publicity department.
