Nord announces Electro 6
Nord Keyboards has launched the Nord Electro 6 Series said to combine the company’s award-winning emulations of vintage electro mechanical and acoustic instruments in an ultra-portable package.
Available in the Spring, and as yet unpriced, the Electro 6 will come in three versions, Nord Electro 6D 61 which features a 61-note Semi Weighted Waterfall keybed (C-C) with Physical Drawbars, the Nord Electro 6D 73 which features a 73-note Semi Weighted Waterfall keybed (E-E) with Physical Drawbars and the Nord Electro 6 HP which features a 73-note Hammer Action Portable keybed (E-E) with LED Drawbars.
Features of the new models include Layer and advanced Split functionality. The panel has three independent sound sections; Organ, Piano and Sample Synth that can be used simultaneously as a layer or a split. It features six Split Points and the new Split Point Crossfade functionality introduced in the Stage 3 for smooth transitions between the two split zones. Users can choose from three different crossfade widths (Small, Large or Off) as indicated by different LED colours.
