Sax London to relocate

Sax London to relocate

The Sax.co.uk London branch is about to relocate, opening to the public on Wednesday October 24th. at 26 Stamford St, London SE1 9LQ

Managing director Phill Straker says: ‘The SaxWindBrass store that we established in Hampstead Rd five years ago with Phil Parker Brass and The Vibe was a unique arrangement and a great success so we hoped to extend our lease. Unfortunately the building’s owners decided on a two year redevelopment plan so we had to move on.

‘Nothing of suitable size was available for all three businesses so Phil Parker are going their own way and we have secured new premises for Sax.co.uk on The South Bank, close to Blackfriars Bridge and the Oxo tower. It’s a great location, easily accessible by public transport in a really buzzing part of the capital. The 4,000 sq.ft unit is modern, light and airy and we acquired it as a shell – a complete blank canvas. It meant we could design a purpose built store optimised for woodwind players with eight play testing rooms and a studio for the production of demonstration videos.

‘A short while ago we also purchased the assets of The Vibe which we will re-launch as Clarinet & Flute London within the new Sax.co.uk store, with a new website and team led by Matthew Raccine.’
