Vox celebrates 60th at VIP event
Vox Amplification has celebrated its diamond anniversary with a special event held at The Stables, in Milton Keynes on Friday July 7th.
The day kicked off with footage of Vox users past and present and peered into the brand’s future by highlighting new developments including products which will feature the company’s Nutube technology, as debuted in the recently launched MV50 range of mini amp heads.
The company also officially launched the two commemorative AC15 an AC30 models reported in MIN on 10th July. Read here.
Highlights of the event included a heartfelt speech from PMT co-owner Simon Gilson and members of today’s UK Vox R&D team meeting with original staff members from the Vox Dartford factory in the 1960s. Guests were treated to live music from the Cavern Beatles, demos of the new MV50 and the chance to see some amazing museum pieces including George Harrison’s original AC30. Finally, there were video messages from Vox artists from around the world who couldn’t make it to the party, including perhaps Vox’s most prolific user, Brian May.
