Yamaha Commercial Audio expands UK sales team

The new team will be available to meet at ISE 2018

Yamaha Commercial Audio has expanded its UK sales team to ensure its pre- and post-sales service and support is ‘better than it has ever been’.

Under the direction of sales and marketing director Robert Webster, existing and new members of the Yamaha team will serve the manufacturer’s UK customers headed up by sales manager Alex Warren, who was promoted to his new role in September 2017.

“We have invested in a bigger team and have worked very hard to locate individuals that possess the drive, enthusiasm and technical skills needed to excel in this demanding business environment,” Warren said.

“This means we can really deliver what our dealers, users and new customers expect.”

Joining Yamaha’s current staff, including marketing director Chris Irvine, commercial installations solutions salesman John Perry, south-east UK sales representative Reece Stead, and north UK and Republic of Ireland sales representative Tim Bamber, are two new sales and support staff.

South-west UK and Republic of Ireland sales Hans Metger has experience of running an AV consultancy in his native Costa Rica, while technical sales Tom Rundle has come from an AV company specialising in conferences and corporate events.

Irvine served as Yamaha UK’s product manager for music production and pro audio from 2008 to 2017, where he began to head up its commercial audio marketing division.

Irvine said: “With a number of the changes and new members joining, it’s been a big learning experience for us all. However, it’s great to be part of a team brimming with enthusiasm and with the skills and talent to push our business forward together. I’ve found the whole experience very inspiring. We are looking forward to exciting times both within the team and with all our business partners throughout the industry.”

“I feel honoured to be leading Yamaha’s UK CA team,” added Warren. “The proactive mentality within the team fills me with confidence. We have some great products on the way and equally exciting events in place for our partners in 2018. It’s a new start with, we hope, many good years to follow.”

The new Yamaha UK CA team will be present on Stand 3-C112 at ISE 2018, being held at the Amsterdam RAI from 6th-9th February, where they will “be happy to meet new and existing customers alike”.
