From September 25 to 27, 2026, Mannheim will once again become an international meeting point for guitar makers, musicians and guitar enthusiasts at the Guitar Summit.
Lakewood Guitars will also be represented at this year’s event, presenting the latest news surrounding its instruments, developments and current projects.
Alongside the new electric guitars, the main focus of the Hessian guitar manufacturer remains firmly on acoustic guitars, which also mark Lakewood’s 40th anniversary this year. Accordingly, the booth will feature a selection of acoustic Customshop guitars that reflect Lakewood’s high standards of craftsmanship, creative diversity and ambition to set benchmarks in the field of individually built guitars.

With the BRETT, Lakewood Guitars is expanding its portfolio with a new electric guitar model. Following an intensive development phase, the instrument is now being presented to a wider audience for the first time.
The BRETT was conceived as the younger sister of the Tschabo, which was first introduced last year. It combines a straightforward, distinctive design with high-quality components and a broad range of tonal possibilities, while also providing an attractive entry point into the world of Lakewood electric guitars.
For Guitar Summit 2026 in Mannheim, Lakewood will bring a wider selection of different BRETT and Tschabo guitars to present at the show.

New 3D Electric Guitar Designer from Lakewood
With the new 3D Electric Guitar Designer, Lakewood Guitars is expanding its digital options for creating individually configured instruments. The configurator is based on new 3D technology and allows customers to experience their electric guitar in a particularly realistic way even during the configuration process.
Colours, woods, hardware and numerous other details can be selected, combined and viewed directly on the virtual instrument from different angles. Selected Gallery Woods, which Lakewood offers for both acoustic and electric guitars, can also be applied directly to the 3D model. This provides a highly realistic impression of what the finished instrument will look like even before production begins.
Individually tailoring a guitar to the wishes of its future player has long been a central part of the Lakewood philosophy. With the new Electric Guitar Designer, this approach is now being consistently extended to the company’s electric guitars.
The new designer is only the starting point: the available options, materials and design possibilities will continue to be expanded over time.
