How to Blur the Line Between Rhythm and Lead Guitar
If you’re strictly a rhythm guitarist, you’ve probably found that playing chords all the time can get boring. Some of the best rhythm players create a fusion between rhythm and lead guitar by complementing their chords with fills and motifs that add greater interest and create a stronger sense of musical emotion.
In this video lesson, Sean Daniel demonstrates how you can do this using the E minor pentatonic scale with chords of the G major scale. Sean walks you through the E minor pentatonic scale and shows how you can add notes from the scale into your chord playing using open strings and hammer-ons.
Let the line between lead and rhythm playing be blurred forever more!
