Crust Punk: Samurai Guitarist buys the Pizza Hut Pepperoni Pizza guitar on Reverb
A slice of guitar and fast-food history has sold on Reverb today. A promotional pizza-themed guitar, created by Pizza Hut, has allegedly been bought by none other than YouTube’s Samurai Guitarist.

Reverb shared the listing for the instrument on its Instagram page today, and Samurai Guitarist proudly announced he was its buyer. “I bought this,” he wrote in the post’s top comment. How much dough did it cost him? Just $350.

The poplar-bodied six-string, described as just one of three created by the fast-food chain, depicts on its circular body a gooey pepperoni pizza sat atop a metal pan. It’s topped with some comprehensive features, including two split-pole humbucker pickups, a string retainer bar and an all-black TOM-style bridge. Meanwhile, its satin-finished maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium steel frets.
Not much is known about when the Hut had the guitars made, but a 2013 blog post from Guitarz unearthed an eBay listing for a similar instrument.
The guitar-pizza combo is a concept that other brands have explored in the past, too.
Back in 2013, Andrew W.K. teamed with ESP for a custom pizza-themed electric guitar featuring his favourite toppings, including “extra spicy garlic marinara sauce, double mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, and … jalapeno peppers”, according to the rocker’s website.
