Electro-Harmonix revives its Sovtek MIG-50 reissue, now shipping internationally

The amp is a faithful recreation of the original Sovtek MIG-50, with a few modern tweaks to the design and circuit. The amp features two channels: I and II, normal and bright respectively, and a simple control layout of a three-band EQ and presence control alongside a volume for each channel.
One Mullard 12AX7 and two Tung-Sol 12AX7 preamp tubes run into a 50-watt power stage utilising Two Tung-Sol 5881 power tubes. These provide a lot of headroom, meaning the amp should take pedals well. The amp is also compatible with 4, 8 or 16-ohm speaker cabinets. It bears a list price of $638.40 on Electro-Harmonix’s website, however full details of international pricing are yet to be revealed.
