TC Electronic refreshes the June-60 chorus pedal with version two

TC Electronic has launched version two of its June-60 pedal, itself a recreation of the chorus found in the Roland Juno-60 synthesizer. The new version of the June-60 adds an upgraded stereo output, and several extra internal switching options for added versatility.

Appropriately enough given the June-60’s origins, the pedal now has an internal toggle switch to adjust input level for working with synths or guitars. TC Electronic’s Paul Robert Scott explained: “We learned that quite a lot of keyboard players use June-60 to add that chorus-y magic on classic and new synths, so we found it a complete no-brainer to also make keys as a priority when we set out to refine this pedal.
“And I am super excited about the result, which has succeeded in providing an even more accurate reproduction of a classic analog chorus, making it much more versatile while at the same time keeping the user interface simple and intuitive. You know, all great blockbusters deserve a sequel, and June-60 is no exception. I am happy to report that in this product manager’s view, the sequel is indeed even better than the original blockbuster.”
Also added to the circuit is an internal dipswitch bank to adjust the LFO speed, in order to “more closely match that of the Juno.”
The basic operation of the pedal remains unchanged: the two buttons on the top select between slow, rich chorus or faster wobble respectively, and the slider switch selects between mono and TRS stereo output. The stereo circuitry has also been redesigned for a wider field and more separation.
