Wampler reshapes the modulation pedal with the Terraform
Wampler has revealed the Terraform, a pedal loaded with eleven modulation effects, and capable of complex audio routing. The pedal also features a 48kHz Sampling rate, with 24-bit audio and 56-bit processing.
The true-stereo pedal covers the whole gamut of modulation effects, with a rotary selector knob choosing from either auto-wah, envelope filter, flanger, phaser, U-vibe, rotary speaker, auto-swell, tremolo, harmonic tremolo, chorus, or dimension effects.
The main control panel of the pedal features knobs for rate, depth, blend and overall volume as well as a ‘variable’ knob which changes different factors depending on the current effect. The secondary footswitch allows for tap tempo, which is indicated by a flashing LED.
A preset button allows for quick saving and recalling of settings, with eight preset slots on hand. For a more intricately controlled rig, the I/O of the pedal (as well as supporting an external expression pedal) allows for MIDI input to change the pedal’s settings.
A small switch on the top of the pedal also changes the pedal to ‘pre-post’ mode, which uses the secondary stereo input/output jacks to split the pedal in two, allowing you to separately place different modulation effects before or after your preamp section. For example, in ‘pre-post’ mode, you can have the Terraform running an auto-wah as normal into your preamp, and run the preamp signal back to the other input of the Terraform to have a chorus effect applied in the effects loop.
