“We’ve lost our brother”: Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

As the world reels in the wake of Ozzy Osbourne’s death, his Black Sabbath bandmates and collaborators from his solo career have paid tribute to his immeasurable legacy.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away this week aged 76, just weeks after performing at Black Sabbath’s farewell show, Back to the Beginning. The Prince of Darkness looked in fine spirits right to the end, even joking with Slipknot’s Sid Wilson – who proposed to his daughter Kelly during the event – “Fuck off, you’re not marrying my daughter!”

“I just can’t believe it,” writes guitarist Tony Iommi. “My dear, dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park.
“It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother.”
