Gmajor2 Does Not Initiate Program Change Messages

I’ve seen a number of threads where users were talking about the Gmajor2 sending MIDI program change messages.

Having RTFM’ed the Appendix of the manual (as John Simms suggested), it seems pretty clear that the Gmajor2 will pass a Program Change message thru, but it does not generate them.

THIS WOULD BE SUPER USEFUL and EASY TO IMPLEMENT.

What will keep me from looking for a better FX unit would be if the Gmajor2 had an option under its MIDI menu to send Program Change Messages when a program change is made on its front panel.

The thing that would make this valuable is that I have an amp with 128 Presets, but it does not display what they are!!!  (The H&K Grandmeister 36).  I love the tone, and can appreciate omitting the display kept the cost down, but it really sucks not knowing what preset you are in.

OK, in fairness to the GrandMeister, I do also have its Wifi hot spot, an iPad that runs an amazing app, and their MIDI controller floorboard that shows the bank number and which of four channels in that bank was selected.  But when you look down at the floor board in the middle of a song, how quickly do you compute that bank 13 channel C is preset number 55?

My whole point is: it would easy for the Gmajor2 to add a “Send MIDI Program Change” feature and it would be super useful.
