Has anyone played the Mariposa guitar?

As a piece of guitar ‘art’ I think it would be difficult to top this as an object of desire, particularly in the green. First Look – Ernie Ball Music Man Mariposa – YouTube

But I wondered if anyone has played one? From the youtube videos it appears to have quite a bluesey ‘twangy’ tone, so maybe sounds as distinctive as it looks.

I am sorry to continue the criticism of Musicman marketing but this guitar was designed by the guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez. But there do not appear to be any clips on the net of him actually playing one.
If you were thinking of spending 3 grand on a signature instrument -is it unreasonable to expect the man himself to demonstrate it?
