HOT Cutlass SSS

Just got my first Cutlass SSS and absolutely love it – a real modern classic. I’ve got a new pickguard on order to wire up a full circuit drop-in high output set of single size humbuckers just to see how it screams. Has anyone replaced the stock pups with higher output ‘buckers? What have you put in and how have the results been? I’m leaning toward a SD Hot/Vintage/Cool Rails combo at the moment and would love any feedback from anyone who’s done something similar.
