[ISSUE] – MIDI preset launching: G-System / Axe-FX / Ableton
So, recently I’ve been messing around with preset changing via MIDI in Ableton Live and there’s one thing that I can’t seem to get working:
The G-System is hooked up via MIDI to the AXE-FX ULTRA, but whenever I send out a MIDI signal, the G listens and is happy, but the Axe doesn’t change presets with the G only when I physically change presets on the G when engaging the preset buttons.
To clarify:
– Sending MIDI with Ableton to the G to change presets works
– The G is hooked up to the Axe via MIDI and will change presets along with the G when I manually press the button
– The Axe however will not change presets along with the G when the G is receiving MIDI from Ableton
MIDI Flow:
Ableton -> USB 4×4 unit -> G-System MIDI IN -> G MIDI OUT -> AXE-FX MIDI IN
All channels are on 1.
Is there something I’m overlooking or is this just the way the G works?
