Luke 3 HSS Tuning Problems SOLVED

I had been struggling with tuning issues on my Luke 3 HSS. It was driving me crazy, the guitar sounded awful. Turned out to be a bad case of stratitis. The DiMarzio Transition pickups have WAY too much magnetic string pull.

I removed all three of the Transitions and all of the active circuitry. Installed Seymour Duncan SH11 in the bridge position with 500k passive volume pot. Had to file the pickup mounting ears to fit. The guitar now sounds amazing and intonates beautifully. Looks…
