Music Man Floyd Question – Axis

I have 3 Axis guitars. A 1996 Axis with the EVH Style Gotoh 1988T, a 2000 Axis with the Gotoh 1996T and a 2012 PDN Honeyroasted Axis with the Music Man Floyd. The 1996 and 2000 Axis feel and play very similar while the 2012 Axis just feels different. The thing I notice first is that is the new term feels a little more “chunky” and not as comfortable.
