New Tremolo – Axis

Greetings,
I have decided to purchase an axis to replace the EVH I sold years ago. I noticed that Music Man is using a different tremolo. It looks smaller, maybe even smaller saddles and for sure a new arm. I see it is the same ol’ cheap threaded arm like on a strat. Maybe cheap is the wrong word but it sorta feels less than perfect.

Does everyone like this? Is it working well/holding up? Will a real Floyd or Gotoh fit as a replacement?

Any helpful input/info would be greatly appreciated.
