Volume knob Issue on JP15 model

My brand new JP 15 seems to be having some volume knob issues. Even with the volume all the way off it still produces sound. The only way for me to completely cut off sound is to switch it up to the acoustic pick up and turn that volume knob off. Ive never had a guitar with active pick ups like this. Is this normal? I’m a huge fan of rolling the volume knob to get different tones and levels when playing live and it’s getting frustrating.
