Mr Ernesto Roca, General Manager at Megalca Ventures Inc from Canada, shared his enthusiasm regarding the robust opportunities for professional growth: “I am particularly looking forward to the Industry Forum and courses at Music China. There is no better way to spark novel ideas than by learning from the insights and experiences of fellow industry players. It is the ideal platform to get a first look at the trends and sales approaches that are driving the global music landscape forward.”

Expanding the reach of music through vibrant live shows and workshops.
While professional development equips the industry with fresh ideas, knowledge, and skills, this year’s fair also leverages the power of shared music in cultivating a more inclusive and expansive community.

As public interest in cultural heritage and holistic well-being grows, several live musical events at Music China 2025 integrate these themes by tapping into the newfound market potential of Chinese traditional music and sound healing, and by making modern music more accessible. Through shared experiential moments, these uplifting experiences will help strengthen community bonds, foster passion, and nurture a broader base of music lovers, thus encouraging a united music ecosystem.

Highlights include:

  • Reviving Ancient Melodies: A Celebration of China’s Musical Roots: in response to growing interest in China’s intangible cultural heritage, this new festival showcases traditional music through exhibits, performances, talks, and hands-on workshops, exploring the contemporary interpretation of folk music and its newfound potential. With support from the Shanghai Mass Art Center, it will highlight unique Chinese instruments – including the Jiangnan Sizhu and Yingzhou Pipa – via performances and craftsmanship demonstrations. The new initiative aspires to connect the new generation with the richness of traditional Chinese music.
  • Music Healing Experience Workshop: in the first edition, fairgoers can engage with interactive workshops that explore the power of music to regulate emotions, via various case studies, demonstrations, and games, in Hall E3 at Booth D05. By highlighting the healing benefits of music, new opportunities emerge in the wellness space, offering participants fresh ways to connect with music, broadening its appeal to those seeking holistic wellbeing.
  • Take the Stage at Music China: debuting this year, this open platform empowers all music enthusiasts to showcase their talent and share their creativity at the fair. This initiative nurtures the next generation of performers, while fostering a sense of community and inclusivity among viewers and participants.
