Yamaha Announces New Online Concert Initiative
YAMAHA has announced the launch of a new online concert initiative, which presents live concerts and music tutorials from Yamaha artists across Europe.
Featuring a clutch of established and rising artists across various disciplines and genres, #YAMAHALIVEFROMHOME provides an intimate, up close experience between music creators and audience. This will encompass exclusive virtual sets and tutorials from these artists live streamed directly from their home studios, bedrooms and kitchens, aiming to entertain and inspire new audiences to hone their musical skills or to try music for the first time.
Having kicked off on 12th March, the on-going series will regularly stream a stellar line up of eclectic music creators including avant-garde pianist and electronic composer, Francesco Tristano, whose Boiler Room set and covers of techno legends Derrick May, Autechre and Jeff Mills drew him accolades from Resident Advisor, Mixmag and XLR8R, offered a personal ‘Bach To Basics’ piano tutorial streamed from his own room. Other artists on the line up are experimental world music artist Belle Chan, who recently performed live at BBC Radio 3’s 70th Anniversary at Festival Hall and Latitude Festival, acclaimed classical one-handed pianist Nicholas McCarthy, Italian jazz-pianist Antonio Faró and award-winning Spanish actor / synth musician Victor Elias, just to name a few.
YAMAHA says, “With live streaming on social media rising in popularity, there’s never been an easier time to ‘go live’. This now everyday part of our online lives has allowed us to introduce #YamahaLiveFromHome, a series of concerts streamed straight from our artists’ homes directly to all those around the world, delivering entertainment, inspiration and community. Musicians and lovers of music are able to come together and enjoy our shared passion. Music is for everyone and this is #YamahaLiveFromHome.”
Manuele Montesanti, Yamaha Artist adds: “With live streaming there are no barriers and your music can travel around the world in a few seconds. “Live from home” represents the beginning of a new approach to your way of making and offering music.”
The concerts will be hosted on the artist’s own social media channels and then shared by Yamaha, or published on Yamaha Music Europe’s social channels. Each concert will be between 20-30 minutes.
