G-System MIDI out sending CC along with PC data
I am new to this forum and the G-system, having recently purchased a used one. I am trying to set up MIDI control of a G-Lab M2L. I reprogrammed some of the G-sys switches to send CC values that select loops on the M2L. That works fine. However, I also want the G-sys preset changes to select loops on the M2L. This seems to work erratically, ie., sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. To determine what was going on, I recorded the MIDI data stream coming from the G-sys and discovered that when I change presets, the G-sys sends the correct PC data but also sends out CC data, specifically, the CC values I used to reprogram the switches. I tried changing the CC values to see if that made any difference and it did not. Whatever CC values I use for the switches get sent out along with the PC data when I change presets. Is this a normal occurrence or is there something wrong with the G-sys? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this situation.
