J. Thibouville-Lamy Announces International Debut of Violin Range at NAMM Show 2026
J. Thibouville-Lamy (J.T.L) is proud to announce the international debut of its violin range at Booth #7007, Hall C during the 2026 NAMM Show. Bringing together more than 160 years of heritage with exceptional modern craftsmanship, the new line-up includes the Barnabetti, Sarasate, and Violons de Maître series – each individually handcrafted by master luthiers using carefully selected European tonewoods, time-honoured traditions, and with original JTL instruments by their side throughout the process.
J. THIBOUVILLE-LAMY VIOLIN RANGE:
J. Thibouville-Lamy Barnabetti Violin (JVL1A): A faithful recreation of the original 1910 J.T.L Barnabetti violin, handcrafted from select European spruce and a one-piece European maple back. A rich oil varnish in warm orange-brown tones highlights the wood’s natural character.
J. Thibouville-Lamy Sarasate Élève (JVL2A): Crafted from finely grained spruce and two-piece European maple, naturally aged for 6+ years, with golden amber spirit varnish to enhance brilliance and sensitivity. Features the traditional ‘Sarasate EL.’ button mark.
J. Thibouville-Lamy Sarasate Maître (JVL2AM): Combining select aged spruce with a two-piece maple back featuring Grade 2 flame, the Sarasate Maître showcases a vivid red-over-gold oil varnish with subtle antiquing.
J. Thibouville-Lamy Sarasate Artiste (JVL2AA): Crafted from aged European spruce and highly flamed Grade 3 European maple, finished with a medium antiqued brown/red oil varnish that enhances depth and visual complexity.
J.T.L Guarnerius Violons de Maître (JVL3AG): Inspired by Guarneri del Gesù, this model features a finely carved spruce top and one-piece European maple back, aged for over six years. A rich reddish-brown oil varnish evokes del Gesù’s darker aesthetic.
J.T.L Stradivarius Violons de Maître (JVL3AS): Based on Stradivari’s “Il Cremonese” (1715), this violin features select spruce and a one-piece European maple back under a golden-amber oil varnish with delicate horizontal flame.
