Mimiq Mini Doubler Won't Update and Asking For Tips for Zakk's Tone
I purchased a Mimiq Mini Doubler one or two months ago and I wasn’t getting the doubled tone I want from it. I’m a big Zakk Wylde fan and I love his massive double guitar tone. I wasn’t able to make my current guitar tone any fatter with this pedal and I just couldn’t get Zakk’s massive tone using the pedal. The tone didn’t seem to get any fatter and just couldn’t get the massive pinched harmonic tone with the pedal. I decided to see if updating the pedal would help the pedal perform better at getting doubled tones. So, I downloaded the firmware updating software on my pc and tried to update the pedal. I followed the instructions from the manual but whenever I have my pedal plugged in correctly and have the updating application running it says, “Device: not found”. I tried different cables and using a different pc. No results. I contacted support and told them my problem and they told me that the pedal came broken and to contact Sweetwater, Sweetwater sold the pedal to me btw, and they would send me a replacement. I later plugged the pedal back into my pedalboard and the pedal pretty much stopped working no matter what settings I used. The replacement came in today and I have the same issue with updating it. It still read, “Device: not found”. Please, help me soon.
