Palmer Presents ORBIT 11 Coaxial 3-Way Studio Monitor with True Point Source
With the ORBIT 11, Palmer introduces a high-quality, active 3-way studio monitor aimed at professional recording studios, project studios and ambitious home recording users. The ORBIT 11 combines an innovative coaxial point source design with high power reserve, linear phase response and extensive customisation options for precise work in modern production environments.
At the heart of the ORBIT 11 is a coaxially constructed 3-way system with a 6.5-inch midrange driver and integrated 1-inch tweeter, complemented by two side-mounted 8-inch woofers. This design enables homogeneous dispersion, high localisation accuracy and stable stereo imaging across the entire frequency range. With a frequency response of 28 Hz to 28 kHz (-3 dB), the ORBIT 11 delivers full-range reproduction without the need for an additional subwoofer.
For signal processing, Palmer relies on a high-resolution FIR DSP with 96 kHz and 24 bits. The linear-phase filters with a latency of only 4 milliseconds ensure precise impulse response and unadulterated signal reproduction. The integrated Class D power amplifier delivers up to 1,000 W peak power (400 W RMS) and achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 116 dB SPL – sufficient power and headroom even for larger control rooms and controlled monitoring at higher levels.

The ORBIT 11 offers extensive customisation options for room acoustics and placement. These include a parametric 3-band EQ, high-pass filter and presets for different speaker positions and distances from the wall. Operation is via a clearly laid out control panel on the top of the cabinet, which allows quick access without having to reach awkwardly behind the monitor.

In addition to analogue XLR inputs, the ORBIT 11 features AES3 connections for digital signal routing and easy loop-through. The low-resonance die-cast aluminium enclosure with decoupled feet reduces mechanical influences and contributes to clean, controlled reproduction. The ORBIT 11 is available in black or white and fits flexibly into different studio setups.
The Palmer ORBIT 11 will be available from February 2026 at an RRP of £799 (including VAT).
