This new Gretsch Penguin could be the most striking guitar of the year so far
Gretsch has added a new limited-edition Penguin model to its lineup, complete with a head-spinning Light Blue Pearl finish and a String-Thru Bigsby tailpiece.
2026 has been a big year for Gretsch so far, with new metal-ready baritone models landing in May, and limited-edition Emerald Night Falcon and Penguins arriving the month before. And continuing its hot streak, the brand has added a beautiful new Penguin model to its lineup.

Boasting a mahogany body with an arched maple top and vintage chambering, with a striking Light Blue Pearl finish, the G6134T-58 offers a truly eye-catching take on a classic Gretsch design.

Elsewhere, the guitar sports a mahogany neck with a 12”-radius ebony fingerboard, with 22 medium jumbo frets, mother of pearl Neo Classic thumbnail inlays and Luminlay side dots.
Tones come by way of a pair of TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron pickups, made according to Ray’s personal notes and designs. These pickups are said to produce a tighter bass response and slightly more top end than modern Filter’Tron pickups. “The absence of wax potting results in a more open, three-dimensional sound with truly unique sparkle and exceptional dynamics,” Gretsch says.
Other features include a Space Control bridge with a pinned ebony base and a String-Thru Bigsby B3CP tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners and chrome hardware.

The G6134T-58 is priced at $3,799.99, and comes with a G6238XL Gretsch deluxe hardshell case as standard.
