From retirement to world tour and now Sphere residency: Rush’s remarkable reunion continues
Rush just announced a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Spanning five dates in May 2027, the Elevate From the Norm residency will see veterans Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee – with drummer Anika Nilles in tow – play a set of “fan favourites and greatest hits from across their catalogue”, while celebrating the life and legacy of the band’s late drummer Neil Peart.
Specifically, the dates for the residency are May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30. The residency is set to commence just a month after Rush wrap up their much-hyped Fifty Something global tour.

Fans will have a number of opportunities to grab tickets early in presale events. Members of the band’s Rush Backstage online store and subscribers to their newsletter will get an exclusive two-hour window to purchase VIP and Travel packages starting Friday, 6 November from 10AM PT.
Artist Presale begins Wednesday, 11 November from 10AM PT, while fans who register via Seated will receive a unique presale code granting early access to tickets. General onsale is scheduled to begin Friday, 13 November from 10AM PT.
“When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘Wow, what a shame that Rush is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows,’” says Geddy Lee.
“Normally we spend months designing the visual effects for our shows and this scenario seemed like the cherry on top of the ice cream for our design team. But life is nothing if not surprising and now, here we are, living and touring in the present tense and we are able to make that particular dream come true.
“We are presently working hard to expand our touring concepts and concoct some new madness to suit this incredible venue and musically perform the kind of show we’ve been doing in some of our ‘one-off’ cities. Meaning playing all of 2112 and all of Moving Pictures along with an array of other songs. We are so effin’ excited to make use of this incredible opportunity to please our fans both visually and viscerally- from wherever they might fly in from. Gonna be so much fun!”
Further VIP and Travel experiences will be available to purchase via Superfan, and will extend beyond the concert with exclusive fan activities, transportation and a dedicated Rush merch popup shop at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. Select packages will include the opportunity to meet Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson.
Rush join a growing list of high-profile artists who have announced shows at the Las Vegas Sphere, including Metallica, John Mayer, Eagles and Dead & Company.
