New TC pedals offer ‘vintage tones’

Four new pedals are on the way from TC Electronic, promising what the manufacturer describes as: ‘A characteristic quartet of iconic vintage tones’.

First up is the Gauss tape echo, said to recapture the sound of vintage tape echo machines but also useful for ’50s slapback effects. The second newcomer is the Vibraclone Rotary which, as the name suggests, simulates the sound of a Leslie speaker cabinet. The third is the Drip Spring aimed at delivering the heavy spring reverbs characteristic of surf music and the fourth is a homage to Brian Eno, the Florescence delivering early ’90s ‘ambient’ reverbs.
