Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 bass amplifier hits the UK
Aguilar Amplification’s UK distributor, Barnes & Mullins, has announced that Aguilar’s brand new US-made Tone Hammer 700 bass amplifier is available.
The Tone Hammer 700 delivers 700 continuous Watts @ 4 or 2.67 ohms, 350 Watts @ 8 ohms and features bass, treble and fully sweepable midrange controls – all in a lightweight 2.22kg compact package.
B&M says Aguilar’s Tone Hammer pre-amp: ‘…gives the Tone Hammer 700 the same flexible tone-shaping capabilities that have seen the Tone Hammer 350 and 500 amps and D.I / preamp pedal become a firm favourite with bass players all over the world. The combination of a 3-band flexible EQ and a subtle midrange Drive distortion control utilising Aguilar’s proprietary AGS circuit project an incredible harmonic depth and emphasise the rich and warm overtones of a tube bass amp’.
The Tone Hammer 700 also features a series effects loop, XLR balanced output and two rear panel speakon outputs. Universal mains means that this amp is ready to travel anywhere in the world.
‘With a retail price of £1169, the Tone Hammer 700 offers a professional and portable bass head with a full and powerful sound that will impress all those who play it as “the world’s best non-tube tube amp”, B&M says.
