Bare Knuckle pickups teams up with Rabbea Massaad for the Silo Humbucker set
Bare Knuckle Pickups has teamed up with guitarist Rabbea Massaad for a set of signature humbuckers, the Silo.
The Silo features twin screw coils, Alnico V magnets and a pairing of 44AWG wound bridge and 42AWG wound neck.
Massaad said about the Silo “I need a pickup with the ability to create glassy, ambient leads and warm, clear chord tones. Equally, I need it to sound crushingly heavy and aggressive. The Silo humbuckers give me everything I need and more. I couldn’t be happier.”
Rabbea is known for his progressive, groove-heavy sound, playing in instrumental metal band Toska. Toska’s debut LP, Fire by the Silos, was released last year. He also has gained a following on YouTube, making videos about songwriting, gear and more. The inclusion coil-split support with four-conductor hookups in the Silos is fitting as Massaad’s playing is noted for its dynamic range between full-blown metal riffs and ambient soundscapes.
Silo comes in all of the available Bare Knuckle finish options, as well as a custom ‘Bea’ finish, featuring Rabbea’s signature – all configurable via the manufacturer’s pickup customiser.
