Bright Eyes are back after nine years with new song, Persona Non Grata
Bright Eyes have returned from a nine year hiatus with a new song, Persona Non Grata. This marks the band’s first release since 2011’s The People’s Key.
“Persona Non Grata” is Latin for “an unwelcome person”. The haunting tune is also the band’s first to feature bagpipes. In an accompanying handwritten statement, the band confirm that more music is set to arrive this year, assuring fans that they “will be releasing a new album this year no matter what”. Bright Eyes have also mentioned that they are reassessing their tour plans for 2020, though no official cancelations have been announced just yet. The band is scheduled to perform at The Knitting Factory in Spokane, Washington on 14 May.
Thus far, many other bands have cancelled their American tours, including the likes of Foo Fighters, Metallica, Tool and many others.
