Dave Grohl admits to fathering a child outside of his marriage: “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her”
Dave Grohl has shared a new post on social media, admitting to fathering a child outside of his marriage.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the Foo Fighters frontman writes. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Dave Grohl has been married to his current wife Jordyn Blum since 2003, with whom he shares three daughters, born in 2006, 2009 and 2014.
Grohl, who has fronted Foo Fighters since 1994, and played drums in Nirvana until its disbandment upon Kurt Cobain’s death, also in 1994, is a revered figure in the music world, and is commonly dubbed the “nicest guy in rock”.
Earlier this year, Garbage’s Shirley Manson described him as “the most incredible expanse of joy that you can hope to meet as a human being”.
She went on: “I love Dave Grohl with a passion, as does the world. He’s really something. He came in and bolstered the flagging spirits of my male counterparts and sprinkled his fairy dust on our record. We have that for all eternity.”
