DWe Acoustic Electronic Wireless Kit Introduces Kit Bundles and Side Snare
Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW) announces a major expansion of the DWe ecosystem, delivering new levels of module integration and hybrid-drumming flexibility. Launching at NAMM, the latest DWe offering introduces updated kit bundles with new drum module options and a new side snare bundle.
All DWe 4-piece and 5-piece bundles feature DW Collector’s Series 333 Maple shells, factory-equipped with fully wireless internal triggers powered by DrumLink, DW’s patented and expandable wireless system that enables drummers to build hybrid rigs one component at a time.
Players can choose between a 4-piece setup with a 9×12″ mounted tom, 12×14″ floor tom, 14×20″ bass drum, and 5×14″ snare, or a 5-piece setup with 8×10″ and 9×12″ mounted toms, a 14×16″ floor tom, 16×22″ bass drum, and a 6.5×14″ snare. Each bundle includes a cymbal pack, DW Soundworks license, and a legendary DW 5000 Series hardware pack.
Expanding flexibility even further, drummers can connect their DWe kit to either of two Roland plug-and-play drum modules. The Roland V51 moduleboasts a user-friendly interface, a flagship sound engine, and streamlined menu navigation, making it ideal for players who seek quick setup and immediate results at home or in the studio. For touring professionals, the Roland V71 module offers a durable, road-ready option with balanced XLR and ¼” main outputs and eight balanced direct outs, ensuring easy integration into any stage or production environment. Both modules’ sound libraries can be expanded with DW expansion packs via Roland Cloud Connect and integrate smoothly with DWe kits.
DW offers two cymbal options: the Roland V-Cymbal Pack provides three crash/ride pads and a hi-hat pad with natural movement and responsive feel, while the DWe Metal Cymbal Pack includes real 14″ hi-hats, two 16″ crash/rides, and an 18″ crash/ride, each with three trigger zones to deliver an authentic acoustic look and playing response.
Also at NAMM is the DWe Side Snare Bundle, which introduces a compact, acoustic-electronic 5×10″ Maple snare designed to help creators incorporate hardware such as the Roland SPD-SX Pro Multi-Pad into any drum kit or DWe setup. The bundle includes a DrumLink Wireless Hub, a DW Soundworks license, snare wires, and both mesh and mylar heads for fast acoustic-to-electronic conversion. With assignable sound triggering via the digiMAG throw-off, drummers can easily expand their sonic palette and explore new hybrid performance possibilities.
