Gene Simmons delivers weather report with Kiss references – how many can you spot?
Gene Simmons has given a rather lively weather report to the people of LA, which just so happened to feature some Kiss references.
The bassist appeared on Los Angeles TV station Fox 11 to deliver the report alongside meteorologist Adam Krueger last week, and it was a forecast so bizarre it almost sounds like you could have dreamt it.

Kicking off the report by speaking of recent rainfall, Krueger references lyrics to the song Rock And Roll All Nite, saying, “There’s been a lot of rain lately, and the rain you drive us wild, we’ll drive you crazy talking about this rain”. Simmons responds, “Hey, I wrote that. I like that.”
The pair later reference the same track again later on, as Krueger shares news of some good weather for the weekend: “This weekend I’m thinking, you know, it’s looking pretty good. If people want to rock and roll all night,” he says, before Simmons adds, “They should probably party every day.”
Towards the end of the forecast, Kreuger is told through his earpiece that the pair need to wrap up. Simmons seems to interpret the word wrap as ‘rap’, and breaks out into a rap verse before finalising the report with a hilarious burst of tap dance.

Kiss wrapped up their final ever live shows with the End Of The Road tour. They played their last gig in December 2023 with a huge show at Madison Square Garden.
From then on, they revealed that they would continue as digital avatars, similar to ABBA’s Voyage shows. The band later sold their catalogue to the very company behind the trailblazing ABBA concerts the following April, with plans to begin their new virtual era in 2027.
Vocalist Paul Stanley later said of their retirement during an appearance on the Off The Cupp With S.E. Cupp podcast, “I think in the last year, I’ve come to articulate it as life’s a one-way street. And it gets narrower. And time is precious. Do I miss being on stage in front of 50,000 people, 100,000 people? Hell, yeah… Everybody who’s attained that kind of success, sure, you miss it, but there’s a difference between missing and yearning.”
Gene Simmons is touring with The Gene Simmons Band in April and May. Tickets are still available.
