Get Positive Grid’s groundbreaking new Spark 2 practice amp at a reduced price for a limited time only
Positive Grid is offering its groundbreaking new Spark 2 practice amplifier at a reduced price during a limited preorder period until 8 August.
The company announced the Spark 2, the “ultimate practice amp” and followup to its hugely popular Spark model, last month. The Spark 2 promises “everything you loved about the original Spark turned up to eleven”, with double the processing power of the first Spark, thanks to a new DSP amp modelling engine.

The party piece of the Spark 2, however, is its new looper function, which was heavily requested by users of the original Spark. The Groove Looper comes with hundreds of “hyper-realistic” drum tracks, aiming to inspire “endless creativity”.
The amp also comes with Spark AI, which Positive Grid says will “revolutionise tone exploration”. It allows users to describe any guitar tone they want to try, no matter how “outlandish”, and receive AI-generated tones they can audition and ultimately download if they like them. And Spark AI learns on the job, too; the more its used, the better it gets at understanding the player’s personal preferences.

The AI capability extends to a “smart jam” feature, which listens to the user’s playing style and generates accompanying bass and drum parts. There’s also “auto chords” functionality, which analyses any streamed song and displays guitar chords in real time. Positive Grid says this makes learning songs on guitar “easier than ever”.
The Spark 2 comes with two premium FRFR speakers and reflex ports, offering “wide stereo imaging and broader frequency response”. There’s also space for users to store up to eight presets on the amp, making accessing their favourite sounds incredibly simple.

There’s also a 12-hour battery life for on-the-go playing, Bluetooth connectivity, plus a headphone out, stereo line outs, and a USB-C port, which enables the Spark 2 to function as an audio interface, if desired.
Guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt says of the Spark 2 amp: “I’ve used a ton of practice amps while touring the world for over 38 years and it was always just a technical, bland exercise. Spark 2 is like taking Madison Square Garden wherever you go – epic and versatile.”
The Spark 2 is available to preorder now in both Pearl or Black finish options. As well as the early bird discount, existing Spark owners have access to exclusive upgrade pricing. For more information, head to Positive Grid.
