Gibson releases Chris Cornell Tribute ES-335
Gibson has paid homage to the legacy of late rock icon Chris Cornell with the release of a limited-edition Tribute ES-335. Pre-sales are now underway for this special model, which was previously unveiled at the I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell concert on 16 January.
Modelled after Cornell’s original Gibson ES-335 signature piece, this axe boasts a few classy features. These include aged Lollartron humbuckers, clear No Number top hat knobs and a gorgeous Olive Drab Satin finish. As a final touch, the guitar’s peghead features a mother-of-pearl Chris Cornell ‘signature’ inlay.

Only 250 pieces of this model will be made available. Gibson had also donated two of these guitars, in partnership with the tribute concert, to raise funds for two beneficiaries: The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, and The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
Pre-sales have begun for the Chris Cornell Tribute ES-335, which will be available worldwide on 3 September. More information at gibson.com.
