Gibson TV launches Behind The Board, a series exploring the world of studio recording

Gibson TV has launched Behind The Board, a brand new web series that takes an in-depth look into the world of studio recording. The debut episode of the series features engineer and musician Ken Andrews from the Los Angeles alternative rock band Failure.
Andrews sat down with Gibson TV to discuss the writing, recording and production of Failure’s In The Future Your Body Will Be The Furthest Thing From Your Mind from 2018. The record is the band’s latest full-length album, and the second since reuniting in 2014, following 2015’s The Heart Is A Monster.
Outside of his role as frontman – and in almost all cases, engineer – of Failure’s studio albums, Andrews is also an accomplished producer and mixer, with credits spanning records for Beck, Chris Cornell, Blink 182, Paramore, Pete Yorn, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Stone Temple Pilots.
Behind The Board is the latest web series introduced by Gibson TV. The online television network launched earlier this January with the debut of The Process, which focuses on operations at the Gibson USA Factory in Nashville, Tennessee, and The Collection, which takes a look at the personal guitar collections of notable artists.
The network’s list of programmes has also grown to include Icons, featuring long form interviews with iconic artists, producers and music business pioneers; The Songbook, an acoustic performance series with artists both world-renowned and up-and-coming, and My First Gibson, where artists discuss how and why they acquired their first Gibson guitar.
