Hear the first song from Jared Dines and Howard Jones’ new band Sion
The first release has arrived from Sion, a new band formed by former Killswitch Engage (and current Light The Torch) vocalist Howard Jones, alongside YouTube guitar sensation Jared Dines.
The song, entitled I Am The Blade, is taken from Sion’s upcoming debut full-length, with full details for that release forthcoming. Alongside Jones’ vocals and Dines’ guitar, the track was produced by Hiram Hernandez, mixed by Joseph Mcqueen and mastered by Ted Jensen.
Jones’ departed Killswitch Engage in 2012, after singing with them for 10 years. Dines, in teasing Sion’s music last year, likened the project’s sound to Jones’ time in Killswitch, writing on Twitter: “Who remembers ‘Howard Jones era’ Killswitch Engage?! Who wants to hear more music like that WITH THE MAN HIMSELF Howard Jones but also with… MYSELF?! … well shit, you might like these 7 songs we’re sitting on then!”
