It looks like Jane’s Addiction are continuing without Perry Farrell, studio photos suggest
New photos suggest that the members of Jane’s Addiction are writing new music together without frontman Perry Farrell.
An altercation between the singer and guitarist Dave Navarro occurred on-stage in September last year, in which Farrell shoved and seemingly punched Navarro. The show ended prematurely, and the rest of their tour was cancelled.

Earlier this year, Navarro told Guitar Player there’d be “no chance” of the band playing together again, and the remaining three members – Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins – also filed a lawsuit against Farrell, alleging they lost $10 million due to the tour cancellation and suspension of all other band activities.
Farrell also filed a legal complaint of his own, alleging that the trio orchestrated a year-long campaign of bullying and harassment against him, and claiming he had no say in the cancellation of their tour and the break up of the band. Both Navarro and Farrell gave a different version of events regarding violence between them backstage.
Over the last week, Navarro and Avery have shared posts on social media from a studio setting, teasing that the trio are working on new music. The string of posts began with Navarro, who shared a photo with producer Robert Adam Stevenson. Other posts are accompanied by captions like “the boys” and “back at it”, suggesting the band are moving forwards with new material, but Farrell is not photographed in any.

While confirmed details regarding their studio time are yet to come forward, the band did quietly release a new single, titled True Love, just shortly after they announced their hiatus last year. You can listen to it below:
