Keeley Electronics launches the 20 For 20 Tri-Verb pedal, and it’s already sold out
Yesterday (25 September), Keeley Electronics slipped a cryptic teaser onto its social media pages hinting at an impending new 20 For 20 pedal. That pedal has been revealed to be a 20 For 20 edition of the Keeley Tri-Verb, and unsurprisingly, it’s already sold out.
The 20 For 20 range of pedals are notoriously hard to pick up, as each batch only consists of 20 units. In Keeley’s own words: “Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever!” Nevertheless, there’s always the chance of picking one up (eventually) on the used market.
The Tri-Verb gives you three reverb modes: plate for classic-sounding reverberated tones; spring for jangly, and surfy sonic endeavours, and chamber, which is a soft and warm sounding vintage reverb.
Each can be finessed through a simple set of controls which include decay, tone, pre-delay and blend knobs. Apart from that, there’s just a simple foot switch to engage the effect.
If the name of the pedal sounds familiar, that’s because it was based off the Keeley X-Series Tri-Verb – which unfortunately, has been discontinued. Still, keep an eye out in the used marketplace if you’re looking to pick one of these up.
