Kerry King’s first signature Dean is here

After joining Dean’s artist roster last month, Kerry King has revealed his first signature guitar with the brand, the Kerry King V Limited Edition.
The guitar’s V body bears some striking visuals, true to Slayer’s aesthetic. The points of the body and headstock are hooked inwards, and the guitar’s satin black finish sports an inverted-cross decal next to the controls. Speaking of controls, the guitar isn’t short on those – with a switch to engage the preamp booster for the EMG 81 bridge pickup, and two to toggle the Sustainiac neck pickup on or off and select its mode – alongside the standard selector switch and master volume and tone controls.
Moving onto the neck – a black maple fingerboard sits atop a C-shaped three-piece maple neck, with Kerry king signature inlays for even more Slayer-themed flair. 24 frets, combined with the inherent access of a V-shape, mean shredding right to the top of the guitar’s range should present no issues.
The guitar is limited to 50 pieces, and lists for $8,666. More information at Deanguitars.com.
